Here’s my 100 word story.
Night Visitors
They’ve arrived, the capsules from space, emitting a low hum. Their sheen catches the interior light, framed by the darkness of the night sky outside. The super-web strung between the capsules glints. Where is the robot spider that spun it ?
What is happening in this room ? Why here, why now ?
The sheen shifts into a stellar radiance, the low hum grows into an insistent pulse.
Ready for …? A launch pad ? A homing device ?… a trap for someone entering this room ?
Upstairs Mr. Morph sleeps on, undisturbed.

That’s a fun story, Francine! The name Mr Morph is intriguing; it almost suggests that he has something to do with the events below, even as he sleeps through them.
