KIND HEARTS
‘We can’t keep Poh-Poh in the garage any longer Lin’.
‘Why not Han ? We’ve kidnapped her til we have an escape plan’.
‘But her grunts, her snuffling – the neighbours are bound to hear, become suspicious. Uncle Mah is coming tomorrow, three days before the wedding…the banquet.. we know what’ll happen to Poh-Poh then…’
‘Let’s dress Poh-Poh in a fleece, pop her into the trunk of the car, drive her to the park.’
‘Oh no Han. Uncle Mah has come a day early….’
‘Hello Uncle, you’re here already, keen to visit the farm, see your prize Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pig.?’

Oh no, not Poh-Poh. Maybe they can catch a nice, big fish instead? Fun story.

Thanks for your feedback. Glad you enjoyed the story.

A truly fun story. I vote for the pig. Pot Bellied pigs are too cute. Well, all pigs are pretty fun.

Thanks so much Alicia. Pleased you enjoyed the story. I like pigs, especially basking in a muddy field !

When we were in college, about a zillion years ago, my older sister said, “I think I’d like to have a pig farm.” You could almost see the question marks above my oldest sister’s and my heads. For the last forty years, we’ve showered her with “pig” things. (Maybe once every five years.) It makes her laugh.

That was a fun take, Francine… Poor Poh Poh… though well prepared would be delicious 😉

Thanks Dale, most kind feedback.

Poor little pig.
June 15, 2018 at 11:03 am
I agree with you. Thanks

Oh dear. I fear Poh Poh’s goose is cooked. Han and Lin need to praise him to the skies as championship material for the next agricultural show – maybe that would bring him a stay of execution. Maybe.

What a good idea Penny – save Poh Poh’s bacon (hahha!) . Her piglets might win lots of prizes…
June 14, 2018 at 11:44 am
Oh no, Uncle Mah’s not going to add poor Poh-Poh to the banquet, is he? 🙁
June 14, 2018 at 6:52 pm
Oh yes he is, the best dish on the banqueting table.

I’m on the pig’s side, along with his rescuers.

Me too Sandra – though I was trying to be neutral. In the UK, there was a fun newspaper item about the ‘Tamworth Two’ escaping from captivity. They are a breed of pig called Tamworth Old Spots.

Poh-Poh is about to be part of a Poo-Poo Platter
June 14, 2018 at 7:05 pm
Yes indeed. Unless the pig makes an escape bid…?
June 13, 2018 at 8:29 pm
Poor little pig (or maybe big) … being invited to wedding is not a good thing for a pig.
June 14, 2018 at 7:06 pm
I think you’ve just created a new proverb : ‘being invited to a wedding is not a good thing for a pig.’ I like it. Thank you.

Dear Francine,
I couldn’t help thinking of ET when the kids dressed him up and hid him in the closet with Gerties stuffed animals. Cute story.
Shalom,
Rochelle

Thank you Rochelle – the pig came into my mind, bit a daft story.
June 13, 2018 at 5:57 pm
Nice, that the kids were on the side of the poor, but no doubt delicious, pig.

I think you’re right. I think pigs are supposed to be clever- maybe she can hitch a ride & escape !
June 13, 2018 at 3:38 pm
Poor Poh-Poh, I hope he escapes the lot of them!
June 14, 2018 at 7:24 pm
