Rochelle’s challenge this week is inspired by this busy airport scene. can you be inspired to write a 100 word story ?
PAUSE FOR THOUGHT
A moment of stillness intervenes in the busy-ness of the terminal lounge. Movement, sound, interactions are paused by a blip in the continuum of travel. Time to eavesdrop on the passengers’ lives.
‘Will he still love me after what I did ?’
‘Awful holiday — those cockroaches !’
‘I’m so dreading what I may find at home’.
‘How can I tell my parents this ?’
‘Here we go — blah-blah-blah’.
‘I’m going to throw up all over my suitcase…’
‘Why don’t the parents hush that screaming baby, the noise is driving me mad’.
‘I’ll start a new life, I’ll become a brand new person’.
‘Will that sniffer dog smell the salami sausage hidden in my case ?’.
“THE NEXT FLIGHT TO PARIS WILL LEAVE FROM GATE 44″

The stories this week have convinced me that human nature is the same, no matter what the country of origin is. This story was further proof that our experiences vary only in language or cultural custom.

I could relate to person wanting the crying baby to hush. We had one of those all the way from New York to Tel Aviv. 😉 Well written. Several stories in a 100 words. Very clever.
