UPPING STICKS
Frank couldn’t wait to see the look on their faces, after all those debates about Grandpa moving nearer to his daughter Chloe. He could help out with Rose and Tim, his lively grandchildren. Here he was, moving his house closer to them. A dream come true.
Frank smiled to himself, why spoil the surprise by telling them in advance. They’d made such a fuss about his heart condition. It was no big deal, his health had never stopped him before.
The transporter drew up beside Chloe’s field. Frank rang her bell, and could hear someone coming to open the front door.
‘Hello Chloe, I have a surprise for you.’

Hope Chloe took it well!

For just a moment there I thought perhaps Grandpa had died, and the transporter was a hearse. Either way, dead or alive, it’s a suspenseful story, somewhat like those “write your own ending” stories for kids.

Thanks for your comment, I hope so too.
To let you know I’ve posted a review of your book on Amazon. I found it and original and intriguing story, skilfully written to combine the different kinds of reality. An achievement indeed.
