I was inspired by the frog on the penny farthing, so my story is about frogs. Please indulge me.
TALL TALE
Imagine a group of amphibians – frogs, toads, newts, croaking and scuttling. They find a penny farthing bicycle propped against a wall next to a poster advertising a race.
The tallest frog hops onto the saddle high above the ground, then loses his nerve, he can’t climb down. The newts jeer at first, then agree to make a pyramid formation with their bodies head to tail, to steer the bike whilst he pedals. A flying circus of frogs and newts which hurtles past all the other competitors to win the race. A prize for team Amphibian.
Well, it could be true. Plausible as a Penny Farthing.

I often see a couple of guys riding penny farthings up and down our seafront, but have yet to see a frog! Nice one.

Delighted to indulge. It’s a lovely idea. By the way, the link you’ve posted is to an older story. I had to hunt back to find this
