Wild Aunt Nina and the Sanguine Tree
Wild Aunt Nina had a lover – Archie. She was passionate, a free spirit.
It was the 1930’s. He cheated on her and Nina found out. Mysteriously Archie disappeared without trace soon after.
One rumour was that Nina slit Archie’s throat. And worse, she buried his severed head under her garden tree. So Nina could savour his demise every day.
Visiting her place now, I can’t help myself. I see blood oozing from the heart of that tree. A lingering proof of that foul event. Can it be true ? Nina was a bit of a bohemian …..
