MEMORIES OF MY FATHER an iPoem
Stiff curled collars back from the laundry,
a carapace tight around the neck, ready for the upright day
held in place by a small gold stud
you found hard to secure
so needed the child me with my nimble fingers,
and our morning faces gaze back at us from the mirror,
another minor triumph.
