The Rendezvous
My dream is : I stroll along my best Boulevard in Vienna, passing the pavement cafes, clusters of people at round tables. Breathe in the aroma of vanilla, inhale the joy of being here.
I’m drawn to our park, its globe street light casting a glow onto our bench. I’m warmed by the hope of meeting you again. It’s how I want things to be.
“Your Captain speaking. We are landing in Vienna in twenty minutes, temperature 16C, local time midday. Please ensure you take all your personal belongings with you, including your dreams .”

Oh I feel that maybe dreams can come true… just follow them

I agree – why not follow dreams.

Haha loved that last line. I’ve never been to Vienna but feel I have/maybe now. Nice one. So hopeful.

Glad you liked the last line -and felt a sense of Vienna. I wanted it to be hopeful – young love I guess.

I have a dream of seeing Venice someday. Love the Captain’s reminder.

Thanks for your comment – I could so imagine the captain’s reminder happening ! Hope you achieve your dream.

I love the idea of the Captain reminding passengers to take their dreams with them! We should always carry our dreams.
December 16, 2017 at 4:49 pm
I agree with you – about carrying our dreams with us. Guess that keeps our dreams alive rather than in a box on a shelf somewhere ?

Delightful, and for me, timely too as I’ve just booked myself a trip to Vienna!

Wow! I would look forward to reading more of your stories because they take me to places I have never been to . Last to last week, I was in Ireland and now in Vienna. Thanks so much for showing me around the countries of Europe.
I love your protagonist, I love that she hopes and dreams and believes.

Thank you – glad to be part of your virtual ‘sightseeing’. And that you’re drawn to the tale teller’s hopes and dreams.

Dear Francine,
Lovely story, full of anticipation and hope. I particularly loved, “Breathe in the aroma of vanilla, inhale the joy of being here.” Great sentence.

Thank you Rochelle. Glad you loved that sentence – sometimes ideas just come to me of their own volition.
