COLOURS
I stare at the monotone slate sky beyond my 10th floor apartment, dragged down by the grey rain, blurring even the red, amber, green gum-drop brightness of the traffic lights below.
I turn away, to hitch a ride with the power of my imagination. A sapphire sea, boundless horizon, star of the show : the sun sun sliding slowly down at sunset to melt into the evening indigo sea.
My feet meet the warmth of the honey bright sands, framed by the windswept palm trees. I clasp onto the vision as my dream fades.

Beautiful. What we see in our mind’s eye can certainly be more appealing than the reality of the gloom under which we are living these days.
